AIM Environmental Group’s remediation services utilize both on-site and off-site technologies for the treatment of contaminated soil and water. Process selection in all site remediation projects is determined by the most economical process applicable to each site.

Our group can provides on-site treatment for soils through in-situ / ex-situ processes:

• In-situ treatment. Treating the soil “in-place” without the need to excavate. Applicable situations include treating soils beneath or in close proximity to buildings, and in-soil conditions that are amenable to these technologies.
• Ex-situ treatment. Treating excavated soils through the addition of microbial agents or chemical catalysts. This treatment generally involves mechanical mobile processes which consists of screening and blending.

Off-site treatment of soils can take the form of standard landfill disposal options or treatment at licensed facilities. A benefit of the volume of work we conduct in this area is our pronounced ability to secure cover material space at various landfill sites, and the preferential rates we are able to offer our clients.

AIM is also able to secure preferential rates at off-site treatment facilities in addition to competitive disposal and treatment rates for client projects where soils contain hydrocarbon or organic contaminants.
