Theo Van Wely
President
AIM Environmental Group’s storied history began with Mr. Van Wely’s inception of the company in 1989 as AIM Waste Management Inc. Partnering with Maple Reinders Group Ltd. in the initial development of the company, AIM began providing environmental contracting services, In 2005, Mr. Van Wely led the company in the pursuit of designing, building, and operating municipal organic waste composting facilities. In 2008, he carried out the restructuring of the company to focus on its three broad areas – environmental remediation, demolition and abatement, and organic waste composting. Mr. Van Wely is currently a member of TEC Canada and is actively involved in charitable work in Guatemala.

Scott Carney
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Scott Carney has overall responsibility for all financial aspects of AIM Environmental Group, which includes developing the corporate accounting structure, financial reporting, and leading new acquisitions, projects, and capital investments. Tasked with maintaining and improving the financial health of the company, Scott brings comprehensive experience in the areas of finance and accounting. He previously worked at Universal Forest Products in Denver, CO as an accountant and Divisional Controller for 10 years. He also holds a Bachelors in Accounting from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI.

Tony D’Angelo
Business Unit Manager, Demolition
Mr. D’Angelo has managed AIM Environmental Group’s demolition unit since 2009. He brings over 25 years of experience as a professional estimator and contract negotiator. In his capacity at AIM, Mr. D’Angelo directs the demolition services, which includes hazardous materials abatement, partial and complete demolition, and ensures all contracting aspects of projects are fulfilled and thoroughly completed. Under his leadership, AIM has been successfully contracted for its services to some of Canada’s largest companies in their respective industries. He holds a college degree in Advanced Chemistry and Metallurgy, a US college Diploma in Foreign Teaching and Educational Services, and is a public lecturer. Outside of the corporate environment, Mr D’Angelo is also involved with charitable education services in Central America.

Frank Peters
Business Unit Manager, Composting
Mr. Peters has been leading AIM Environmental Group’s composting unit since 2005. He brings previous experience in waste management and recycling operations, and currently manages the daily operations at the City of Hamilton’s Central Composting Facility. This also includes overseeing sales of source-separated organics compost and imparts his knowledge on composting facility operations for business development opportunities. Mr. Peters holds a BA degree in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and is certified by SWANA various disciplines, as well as Compost Operations by the Composting Council of Canada.

Allen Charron
Senior Project Manager, Remediation
Mr. Charron joined AIM Environmental Group in 2010 to oversee remediation projects with respect to the unit. He brings a diverse set of skills and knowledge to the company, and carries over his extensive experience in environmental services and the Canadian military.

Jim Skeoch
Senior Sales Specialist
Mr. Skeoch brings AIM to the forefront of the environmental services industry through business development and sales. As a crucial part of the team, he initiates AIM’s tendering process for projects and interacts with clients seamlessly. Mr. Skeoch started with AIM in 2007, and previously worked for an environmental company in a similar capacity.

Anne Jenkins
Office Administrator
Mrs. Jenkins has been overseeing administration for the AIM Group of companies since 2000. In the many areas she is responsible for, she manages all human resource and accounting functions at the company. With her vital expertise, AIM is able to conduct its business in an efficient and effective manner. Mrs. Jenkins has previously worked for the government in the UK and at CIBC.

Justin Lim
Marketing and Communications Specialist
Justin joined AIM Environmental in 2009 to help develop marketing opportunities and campaigns for one of its units. Since then he has assumed responsibilities relating to marketing and communications for the company, including R&D, brand management, market research and business development, as well as internal communications. Prior to AIM, he worked in a similar marketing capacity for Ipsos Reid. Justin has an Honours BA in Economics from McMaster University.

Sandra Drouillard
Operations Manager, Wellington Organix
Sandra joined the AIM team in mid-2011, overseeing operations at Wellington Organix, an AIM Group company handling the source separated organics processing at the City of Guelph’s OWPF. Sandra brings in-depth experience and knowledge from the environmental services community with her most recent work as an Operations Manager at Direct Line Environmental Corporation (now GFL Environmental Corporation). Prior to her work there, she spent time at Daymond Aluminum and Keith R. Thompson in various management capacities for facilities and laboratories. She holds a Chemical Environmental Engineer Technologist certification (CET) and multiple water treatment certifications.
