Our Commitment

AIM Environmental Group is committed to preventing occupational illness and injury in the workplace.  It is our belief that every employee is entitled to work in a safe and healthy environment. The company conducts business at various levels of risk and physical demand, therefore the nature of the work exposes AIM’s employees to many hazardous situations. For this reason, AIM has developed comprehensive health & safety programs to ensure the safety of its workers. Employees attend regular health and safety programs and not only does AIM make a commitment to keep our employees safe, but also to maintain the environment.

What we provide in the workplace

All staff receives the following at AIM:

• Training in safe handling of hazardous materials
• Site-specific training
• Detailed manuals outlining safe work practices
• Formal orientation sessions for new employees to provide an overview of AIM’s safety programs and work practices

In fulfilling this commitment, we will provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment as indicated by acceptable industry practices and compliance with legislative requirements as outlined as a minimum in the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Green Book). We will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in fires, security losses, and damage to property and personal injuries/illnesses.

We offer all our employees the appropriate training and equipment required for a project including how to perform their jobs safely in accordance with legislative requirements and our Safe Work Procedures / Practices. Together, all employees are involved in developing, implementing and maintaining the safety and accident prevention program. A site specific Health & Safety Plan is prepared for each individual project, and is communicated to our employees and our clients. We also have full-time in-house health and safety professionals that visit our job sites, meet with our employees and provide feedback to both our employees and management. AIM Environmental Group is proud of its health and safety track record and works closely with our health and safety professionals, management, employees, the client and the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board, in order to maintain our record throughout all of our projects.
